Before Ordering

Why is Capalus cheaper than everyone else?

Capalus is a platform that facilitates cross-border trade in the EU. We work directly with suppliers and avoid unnecessary intermediaries by allowing suppliers to sell directly on the platform. Furthermore, we fight against artificially inflated prices and hidden fees. We secure the best prices by identifying countries with the lowest duties and separating the product purchase from shipping processing, which keeps costs low. 

From whom am I buying the goods?

Capalus acts as a platform where you buy directly from various suppliers. Every order is shipped by one of our partners, and we ensure that the goods and services are available via the Capalus platform.

How long does delivery take?
  • Standard orders: Delivery usually takes 3–4 working days.
  • Tobacco orders: Can take up to 7–10 working days, as they are shipped separately by a different supplier.

Tobacco orders have a longer delivery time of 7–10 working days because tobacco is shipped by a Bulgarian seller on our platform. Please note that your tracking will only be activated once your package has arrived at the distribution center in Germany. Your order will be packed and ready for collection within 24 hours. If delays occur, they are often due to high capacity at DHL. You can track your order via the tracking link in your email.

What is the "Fight Food Waste" category?

This is a category featuring products with a short Best Before Date (BBD). These products are still perfectly edible after the date has passed, but we offer them at a reduced price to avoid food waste. Read more here:

Capalus uses secure payment processing that protects both buyers and sellers during online transactions. This includes secure payment gateways, encryption technologies, and authentication procedures to prevent fraud, identity theft, and unauthorized transactions.

How do subscriptions work at Capalus?

You can set up a subscription for specific products to have them delivered regularly.
A 10% discount is often available for subscription orders.
You can cancel or change your subscription at any time via your customer account.

Discount codes – why is my code not working?

Some discount codes are only valid for a limited period (e.g., 48 hours).
The code must be entered exactly as provided and can only be used once.
Certain discount codes apply only to specific products or categories.

Before Delivery

When will my order arrive?

You can see the estimated delivery time in your order confirmation. If you have ordered tobacco, you must expect a longer delivery time (7–10 working days). Please note that orders are usually packed and shipped within 24 hours.

Why is the tracking not updating?

DHL often only updates the tracking once the package has reached their distribution center in Germany. Even if there are no status changes, your order is still on its way. Remember that orders are usually packed and shipped within 24 hours.

Can I cancel my order?

If the order has not yet been shipped, we may be able to cancel it. If the order has already been shipped, you can refuse acceptance, and we will refund the amount once the package has been returned to us. Remember that orders are usually packed and shipped within 24 hours.

Can I change my order later?

If your order has not yet been shipped, we may be able to make changes. Contact us as soon as possible so we can try to adjust your order. Remember that orders are usually packed and shipped within 24 hours.

Why haven't I received an order confirmation?

Check your spam or promotions folder.
If you use a GMX or Web.de email address, our email might have been blocked. We are continuously working with major email providers to ensure our messages arrive.
Contact us if you still haven't received confirmation.

Why don't I see my order in my account?

If you placed the order without being logged in, it will not appear in your account. However, you can still track it via the tracking link in your email.

Why was my account charged multiple times for one order?
  • In some cases, your bank reserves the amount before the final debit occurs.
  • If you received an error message in your browser, please do not order again without ensuring the amount has not already been reserved.
  • If too high an amount was debited, contact us so we can refund the difference.
Why was my order returned to the sender by DHL?

DHL returns a package if:

  • The address is incorrect or incomplete.
  • The customer did not pick up the package from the Packstation or branch.
  • DHL damaged the package during transport.

We can resend the order. In case of repeated returns due to customer error, we reserve the right to charge a re-shipping fee.

After Delivery

Why is part of my order missing?

Some products are shipped separately, especially tobacco products. If you have only received part of your order, the rest is likely still on its way. You can check the number of packages sent using the tracking links.

Why did I not receive the correct number of ordered products?

Check your order confirmation to ensure the quantity matches. If something is missing, contact us so we can investigate it.

I received incorrect items – what now?

Errors can happen, even though we minimize them through improved systems and processes. If this has occurred, contact us with your order number and pictures of the items received. Depending on the situation, we offer:

  • A return label so we can send the correct items.
  • A discount if you wish to keep the incorrect items, with the option to still receive the correct ones.
What should I do if the goods are damaged upon delivery?

If the package is visibly damaged upon receipt, we recommend you note this with DHL or, in the worst case, refuse acceptance.
Send us pictures of the damage so we can clarify the case with DHL and find a solution.
Please note that Capalus is not responsible for transport damage, but we will do our best to help find a solution.
